The plate edges are welded one side for each fluid. Channel plate width and spacing are optimized for the specified duty, maximum heat transfer, and ease of access. The plate gap is maintained by piece which are called distance piece. Also we have an option model which do not require them. Related to these structure KUROSE spiral heat exchanger has unique advantages over other types of heat exchangers like the shell and tube.
Spiral heat exchanger is known as the best heating device for the purpose of energy saving as compared to the conventional heat exchangers. High heat transfer rates is avaible due to the fluid passes through the spiral type channels in completely counter current. It is almost clean without scale forming during performance and apperas same flowing manner in both sides of channels which is different from the tubeside and shellside flow of tubullar type Heat exchanger. Therefore, Spyraltype heat exchanger is suitablle for the fluids in case of difficulties of cleaning, Moreover, as for the same heat transfer capacity is concerned. It is more compact and easy for installation than that of the tubular heat exchanger.

Spiral flow passage easily creates turbulent flow. Optimum flow speed can be set by selecting the most suitable spiral channel, which permits remarkably high heat transfer.
The rotary current of spiral heat exchanger possesses the property of scraping off and spilling the sludge (solids). Even though scale adhere to it, when the cross-section of the adherent part becomes smaller, the flowing speed would turn quick and bring the function of auto-cleaning into play owing to the one-way flows. Thereafter it is unnecessary to dismantle for cleaning.
The fully countercurrent system (TYPE-1) is able to exchange heat even when temperature difference is very low and is therefore the optimum system for saving energy.
The inside is easily accessed and checked, simply by removing the covers on both sides.
